Alhambra ticket prices in 2026: official rates, platforms and discounts

All the official prices for 2026

Alhambra prices are set by a decree of the Junta de Andalucía. The amounts below are what you pay through the Patronato's ticket office, including the 6.05% booking fee. They have applied since 1 August 2025; before that date the general ticket cost €19.09, a figure you still see on many websites.

A simple rule of thumb: at full adult price, a daytime ticket under about twenty euros does not include the Nasrid Palaces. To find out which one to choose and how the entry time works, see our guide to the Nasrid Palaces.

Reduced rates are calculated from the amounts in the decree (€14, €8 and €6 before fees). The reduced rate for the Dobla de Oro is not published.

Live prices on Tiqets

Unlike official prices, platform prices move with the date and with demand. This table is refreshed while you read: the “Price by date” column gives the lowest and highest prices recorded over the next two months.

Why €22 on the official site and more elsewhere?

It is not a scam, and it is not the same product either. The Patronato's ticket office sells the ticket on its own, at the price set by decree. Reselling the ticket on its own is prohibited, which is why platforms and agencies sell the ticket with a service, and that service is what the difference pays for.

Our advice, plain and simple. As long as it has places, the official ticket office is the cheapest, and by a wide margin if you qualify for the reduced rate or are travelling with children. A platform is worth the few extra euros if the official site is sold out, if you want a guide, or if being able to cancel matters to you.

Transparency: we are an independent website and a Tiqets affiliate. When you book through our links, Tiqets pays us a commission; you pay the same price as on its own site. We earn nothing on official tickets.

Spotting an inflated price

• Only one ticket office is official: tickets.alhambra-patronato.es. Sites that call themselves “official” in search-engine ads, under a similar name, are not.
• Look at what is actually included. A “tour” that is just a ticket plus an audio guide on your phone is not a guided tour: an in-person guide rarely costs less than about €40.
• Beware of a ticket without the palaces sold at the price of the full ticket. At full price, below about twenty euros the Nasrid Palaces are not included; above that, check that they are.
• Compare the price for your date. Premium slots push some guided tours well above their base price: the calendar on this page shows the actual price for each day.

Discounts: who qualifies, and with what proof

• Reduced rates exist only at the official ticket office. Platforms sell at the same price to all adults.
• Proof is shown at the Alhambra's ticket office, on the day of your visit, at least an hour before your palace slot. Having booked does not exempt you from showing it: bring the original, currently valid.
• Without valid proof, you are not refused entry: you pay the difference up to the full price.
• Foreign documents. The rules refer to the Spanish large-family and disability documents: acceptance of a document from another country is not guaranteed. If it is not accepted, you pay the difference.

Can you get in for free?

• Under-12s, all year round and for every ticket. For children aged 3 to 11, the ticket must be booked together with the adults' tickets; for under-3s it is collected at the ticket office.
• The Palace of Charles V and the Alhambra Museum, freely accessible all year (the museum is closed on Mondays), as are the Puerta de la Justicia and the Plaza de los Aljibes.
• 16 November, International World Heritage Day: free entry for everyone with an invitation issued in your name, to be requested as soon as the Patronato announces it, usually between mid-October and early November. Invitations go very quickly.
• Sundays are free only for residents of the province of Granada, by reservation.

No other free day is guaranteed by the rules. And a free day is not necessarily a good deal: the monument is at its busiest, and the Nasrid Palaces are not always included.

What will it cost you? Three examples

On Tiqets, the same couple pays €54 for the ticket with Nasrid Palaces at the price recorded today, and €98 for the guided tour with palaces at its base price. For a family or for EU seniors, the gap with the official ticket office widens, since platforms do not apply the reduced rate: check the child price shown when you book.

Set against the time you spend there – three hours at least – the full ticket works out at just over €7 an hour.

Prices of guided tours and the audio guide

The Patronato does not run general guided tours: guided tours all go through agencies, ticket included. On Tiqets, in English:

• Guided tour including the Nasrid Palaces, group of up to 30: €49 to €139 over the next two months.
• The same tour in a group of up to 20: from €59. In a small group of up to 15: from €69.
• Guided tour without the palaces: from €45; with the palaces option, around €79 in total.

Audio guide. Do not count on an official audio guide: the Patronato says the service is not available, apart from a free version in a trial phase. The gardens ticket with audio guide (from €29.90, without the palaces) comes with one in English, handed to you on site.

Granada Card and Dobla de Oro: worth it?

On top of the Alhambra, the Granada Card, sold by the city's tourist office, covers the cathedral, the Royal Chapel, the Cartuja, San Jerónimo, nine bus journeys and a ride on the tourist train; a children's version (ages 3–11) costs €13. It only pays off if you really do visit five or six monuments in two or three days. The palace time is chosen at purchase and cannot be changed afterwards.

The Dobla de Oro costs about €8 more than the general ticket and adds several Andalusi houses and baths in the city: worthwhile if you are staying three days, pointless for a day trip. Not to be confused with the Granada City Pass from Tiqets (from €28.50), which is a different product.

Refunds, changes and name changes

• Official ticket: the purchase is final. No refund, no change of date or time. The booking fee is never returned, even when the Patronato refunds a ticket because it is responsible for the visit being impossible.
• The closure of an area entitles you to nothing. That is the official rule: no refund and no discount.
• Names can hardly be changed. For an order of one to four tickets, no name change is possible; from five tickets, just one, until the day before.
• On Tiqets, the Alhambra ticket with optional palaces and the guided tour with optional palaces offer a refundable option until 11.59 pm the day before, to be selected at checkout. The ticket with Nasrid Palaces, the guided tour including the palaces and the gardens ticket can be neither refunded nor changed.
• A missed palace slot is lost, whoever sold you the ticket.

Extra costs

• Bus C30 or C32 from the centre: about €1.60 per journey.
• Alhambra car park: allow €2 to €3.50 an hour depending on the source, or around fifteen euros for a full visit. Walking up or taking the bus is cheaper.
• Lockers: free on presentation of your ticket, for bags larger than 40 × 40 cm, which are not allowed inside the monument.
• Water and food: bring a water bottle – there are fountains; prices on site are what you would expect at a major tourist attraction.

When to book to pay the base price

The official ticket office does not put everything on sale at once: tickets are released in batches, twelve months, three months and then one month before the date. If your day shows as sold out, check again at those points. The on-site ticket office, for its part, only sells whatever is left for the same day, no later than two hours before the palace entry time.
